
Manuela Andrade has been working with production, direction, script, research and education in the cinema filed since 2009.

In 2017, she directed the documentary film Amerindian Tale (selected and awarded in national and international festivals such as the 21st Tiradentes Cinema Festival and the 10th Janela Internacional de Cinema do Recife).
​
In 2019, she released the short fiction film, as a director, called Colombia (2019), selected for the 27th Festival Mix Brasil and also worked on the development of the documentary TV series Ancestral Neighbors funded by Funcultura Audiovisual.
​
In 2019, she also worked on the creation and curatorship of the Mostra Absurda at the 12th Triunfo Film Festival, in addition to having contributed as curator for the Florianópolis Audiovisual Mercosul - FAM and jury of the V Cine Jardim - Belo Jardim Film Festival.
Manuela currently teaches in Social Communication graduation courses at Faculdade Guararapes and has contributed to the website of cinema critics Verberenas since 2018.
